Thrombus removal device

In some examples, a thrombus removal device includes a fixed element and a movable element configured to soften a thrombus into smaller fragments as the thrombus moves into a basket defined by an expandable element. The fixation element defines a plurality of arms configured to divide the thrombus into smaller fragments.
