Preparation of cannabinogens and related cannabinoids

Methods for the production of cannabinogen and related cannabinoid compounds are disclosed. The method comprises: forming a reaction mixture comprising 3, 7-dimethyloctyl-2, 6-diene, a diamine, and olive alcohol or related starting materials; and maintaining the reaction mixture under conditions sufficient to form the desired product.
