Composition for reducing penetration of template into nanopores

Disclosed herein are compositions comprising primer compounds that reduce or prevent the harmful penetration of nucleic acid chains substituted by nanopore-linked polymerases into nanopores, such as during nucleic acid sequencing using nanopore devices.
