Zusammenfassung: | The present invention provides a glass sheet having a soda-lime-silica glass composition having a high visible light transmission (LtC) of at least 89%; for a control thickness of 5.66 mm, a dominant wavelength (DW) of about 490 to 505 nm and a purity (Pe) of no more than 1%, and methods of making the same. The glass composition includes a low iron raw material, from 0.02 to 0.06 wt% of total iron oxide (Fe2O3), from 0.006 to 0.02 wt% of ferrous iron (FeO), a redox ratio (FeO/Fe2O3) of from about 0.30 to 0.55; cr2O3 in the range of from about 0.3 to 10 ppm, TiO2 in the range of from about 50 to 500 ppm; snO2 in the range of from about 10 to 500 ppm, and SO3 in a critical amount of from about 0.10 to 0.25 wt%. Low-content iron oxide is achieved by partially replacing conventional raw materials with low-iron raw materials, wherein conventional dolomite is completely replaced with low-iron dolomite having a maximum content of Fe2O3 of 0.020% by weight.
