A feeder to which a retention device that can be retained in a subject is attached is provided with: a connector that is detachably connected to the retention device; a power transmission member connected to the connector and configured to move the connector; and an auxiliary member disposed at a position where the auxiliary member comes into contact with the connector when the power transmission member is pulled.
