Endpoint customization via online firmware store

The invention relates to endpoint customization via an online firmware store. A server system is used to customize firmware of an endpoint via an online firmware store and verify authenticity of the endpoint. For example, before using the endpoint, a customized version of firmware may be ordered for the endpoint. After receiving a request with identity data generated by a memory device configured in the endpoint, the server system may determine an authenticity of the endpoint with current firmware based on a secret of the memory device. Updates to firmware stored in the memory device and executed in the endpoint to generate the request are identified. The server system generates a verification code that is executable in the memory device to execute the updated command.
