According to the invention, the rim (2) is produced in a one-piece and continuous manner in the casting mould by die-casting the casting material, the volume of the casting mould (9) being reduced after the casting material is introduced into the casting mould (9) in order to post-compress the casting material. The invention further relates to a device (1) for producing a vehicle rim (2).
