Two part silicone compositions and sealants and components made therefrom

The invention discloses a two-part composition. The two-part composition comprises a first part and a second part. The first portion includes a vinyl-substituted polysiloxane, a hydrosilylation catalyst, a moisture-containing expandable graphite, and first polymeric microspheres at least partially coated with an inorganic filler. The second portion includes a second vinyl-substituted polysiloxane, a hydrosilyl-substituted polysiloxane, and second polymeric microspheres at least partially coated with a flame retardant inorganic filler. The two part compositions are useful, for example, for curing into sealants and making components. The assembly has a first substrate and a second substrate, wherein the cured product of the two-part composition is in contact with the first substrate and the second substrate.
