Surgical instrument bolt

A surgical instrument bolt (104) for use with an orthopedic prosthetic insert (102) includes a bolt head (200) and a bolt shaft (202) extending away from the bolt head. The bolt shaft includes a threaded end (210) and a shank (212) located between the threaded end and the bolt head. The bolt shaft also includes an inner surface (222) defining an axial channel (224) extending through at least a portion of the bolt shaft.
