The cutting method comprises the following steps: determining a cutting part of a to-be-cut battery pole piece; according to a preset cutting path, a laser generator is adopted to cut off the cutting part; and cleaning parameters of the laser generator are set, and residues on the surface and the section of the cut-off battery pole piece are cleaned away according to the cleaning parameters. Or determining a cutting part of the battery pole piece to be cut; cleaning parameters of a laser generator are set, and a groove is cleaned in the cutting part; and setting a cutting path according to the size parameters of the groove, and cutting off the cutting part along the cutting path by adopting a laser generator, so that residues generated along the cutting path during cutting of the laser generator are located in the groove.
