The fault current limiter comprises a fixed part, a movable part and a winding; a preset distance is formed between the fixed part and the movable part; the winding is arranged on the fixed part; and if the current on the winding meets the preset limiting condition, the magnetic force generated by the winding adsorbs the moving part to move towards the fixed part so as to reduce the current on the winding.
