Zusammenfassung: | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a Tachypleus tridentatus-derived G factor that is activated in a beta-glucan-dependent manner, and a method for measuring a beta-glucan with high sensitivity using the G factor. The present invention relates to: a heterodimer; a method for measuring a beta-glucan using the heterodimer; and a kit for measuring a beta-glucan, which contains the heterodimer. The heterodimer is a combination of a G factor alpha subunit containing an amino acid sequence identical to or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 or SEQ ID NO: 4 and a G factor beta subunit containing an amino acid sequence identical to or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence represented by any of SEQ ID NO: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16.
