The embodiment of the invention discloses a database row and column permission setting method and device. The method comprises the steps of obtaining an initial data set to be configured with an operation authority and metadata of the initial data set, and generating a target data set to be configured with the operation authority based on the metadata and the initial data set; and obtaining at least one data permission configuration condition, and configuring corresponding data operation permissions for row data and/or column data in the target data set according to the data permission configuration conditions.
