Motorized transfer apparatus for bulk object conveyor

There is described a motorized transfer apparatus comprising: a conveyor belt movable in a predetermined feed direction and comprising a plurality of modular elements arranged in a closed loop manner; a support structure comprising a sliding surface having a cross-section substantially in the shape of a triangle so as to sequentially form: a first flat portion substantially horizontal and defining a transport plane for an object; a second flat portion defining a descent path of the conveyor belt; and a third flat portion defining an ascending path of the conveyor belt. The apparatus further comprises: a motorized actuator device; and a drive unit inserted within the support structure and arranged to transmit the motion generated by the motorized actuator device to the conveyor belt. Each modular element has a length measured in the feed direction that is between 1.5% and about 6% of the total length of the conveyor belt.
