Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an electric drive stall torque boost based on vehicle horizontal input. A method for increasing a default electric stall torque limit in a motor vehicle having an electrified powertrain including a traction power inverter module (TPIM) connected to an electric traction motor includes receiving, by a controller, a vehicle level input. The controller is programmed to have a default electric stall torque limit. The method includes selecting, by a controller, an inverter control strategy as a selected inverter control strategy in response to a vehicle level input, the strategy including temporarily increasing a default electric stall torque limit while applying a pulse width modulation (PWM) type at a corresponding PWM switching frequency. The method further includes controlling, by the controller, an output state of the TPIM and the electric traction motor for a calibrated duration using the selected inverter control strategy.
