According to the invention, by utilizing the etching effect of ammonia water on aluminum oxide, aluminum nitrate as a copper source and acetylacetone as a complex, in-situ synthesis is carried out at room temperature, high-temperature heat treatment is carried out to obtain an Al2O3/C compound with a sheet structure, the sheet thickness of the compound can be adjusted in a range of 5-50 nm by controlling the addition amount of the aluminum source and the complex, and the material is simple in preparation method and low in cost. The method is suitable for industrial application. The material is used for Cr (VI) adsorption, the removal rate of Cr (VI) can reach 100% within 3 hours at room temperature, and excellent adsorption performance is shown.
