The invention provides a filter which can be simply cleaned without inserting and removing a filter screen from a housing, and is compact and small in pressure loss. An inlet (4) and an outlet (5), each of which has a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the housing (1), are provided at the front end (2) and the rear end (3) of a cylindrical housing (1), respectively, and a barrier wall (6) that divides a linear flow path of the inlet (4) and the outlet (5) into two parts in the flow direction and faces the inlet (4) is provided within the entire vertical range of the outlet (5) side in the housing (1).
