Zusammenfassung:Prism coupling systems and methods include the step of using a prism coupling system to collect initial TM and TE mode spectra of a chemically strengthened article having a refractive index profile having a near-surface spike region and a deep region. The prism coupling system has a light source configured to generate a sequential measurement beam or reflected beam having different measurement wavelengths. Different measurement wavelengths produce different TM and TE mode spectra. The light source may include a plurality of light emitting elements and a filter, or a broadband light source and a filter.
