The invention relates to a stator (10) of an electric machine (1), comprising a laminated core (11) which is formed annularly around a central axis (A) and on which stator coils (16) having coil ends (16a, b) are arranged by means of winding bodies (12a, 12b). The stator (10) comprises a connection device (20) on which a plurality of mutually insulated connection conductors (22 to 26) having coil connection regions (22a to 26a) for connecting the stator coils (16) are present. The wiring device (20) is joined to the stator coil (16) on the stator in an axial joining direction and is fixed to the winding body (12a) by means of axial connecting means (30a, b) while forming a plurality of axial connections (32a, b).
