Zusammenfassung: | A stack of rectangular planar electrochemical cells (200), each cell (200) comprising at least one first fluid intermediate port (230, 235) disposed within or between one or more activated battery chemistry regions (210) along the middle of the length of the cell and in fluid communication with a first fluid volume of the cell (200). The first fluid intermediate ports (230, 235) of the respective battery cells (200) are aligned to form at least one first fluid intermediate passage extending in the stacking direction. The stack is configured such that, in each first fluid volume, a first fluid flow path (405, 410) extends through one or more activated cell chemistry regions (210) between the at least one first fluid intermediate port (230, 235) and each respective opposing cell end.
