Lightweight reinforced composite material formula and manufacturing method thereof

Composite formulations for lightweight molded parts include untreated low density fillers, such as glass bubbles, solvated polymer mixtures, and polymer slurries. In one embodiment, a solvated polymer mixture is used to treat a low density filler to form a treated low density filler. The solvated polymer mixture may include a thermoplastic resin or reactive resin and a composite additive.
