Mooring line connector apparatus and method

Disclosed is a connector apparatus for connecting a mooring line to a floating vessel, in which connector assemblies are matingly engaged and rotationally constrained. A pre-tensioning device may be provided to apply a pre-tensioning force between connector assemblies, and a pivotable connection may be provided by a pin that rotationally constrains the assemblies relative to each other.
