Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to modified gamma delta cells and uses thereof. The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating cancer or infectious diseases in humans. The invention encompasses the production and administration of gamma delta T cells expressing a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) comprising an antigen binding domain, a hinge domain, a transmembrane domain, a co-stimulatory signaling domain comprising or not comprising a CD3 zeta signaling domain. Expression of a CAR sequence omitting the CD3 zeta signaling domain in gamma delta T cells provides in vivo CAR-T therapy that will produce cytolysis only for target cells that provide ligands in order to activate the gamma delta T cell receptor (TCR).
