Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to V-blade and V-groove joint molded composite wear resistant edge protection. An annular molded composite wear sleeve (40) is incorporated in an annular V-shaped groove (34) in a groove ring (64) using an epoxide or other adhesive. The wear sleeve (40) may include front and rear sleeve walls (46, 48) extending away from the sleeve bottom (44) with front and rear sleeve obtuse angles (50, 52) and may include annular front and rear sleeve fillets (54, 56) between the sleeve bottom (44) and the front and rear sleeve walls (46, 48). The aft sleeve wall (48) may include aft flaps (60) conforming to an annular aft cone (62) on the groove ring (64). An aircraft gas turbine engine hood clamp mechanism (22) for clamping a clam shell hood (20) to a fan housing (26) includes a grooved ring (64) located on the fan housing (26) and a molded composite wear sleeve (40) incorporated in an annular V-shaped groove (34) in the grooved ring (64) with an epoxide or other adhesive.
