In the method, firstly, a first selection bar of a first application program APP installed in a terminal device is displayed, and the first selection bar comprises at least two network types supported by the terminal device; then, a first operation for the first selection bar is received, and the first operation is used for selecting a target network type in the at least two network types; and in the process of applying the first APP, determining that the network type of the terminal device is the target network type. The scheme is suitable for each APP installed in the terminal device and is not limited by a blacklist, and the user can make the corresponding first operation according to the own demand for the network type, so that the terminal device operates the first APP through the corresponding network type.
