Systems and methods for implementing bilateral tokens for open authorization

A system and method for implementing a bilateral token for an OAUTH is described. A first request is received at a host authentication server for a partner application server to access user account information owned by a host server. Upon receiving authorization to share the user account information, a response is returned to the partner application server. The response includes an access token. In response to returning a response to the partner application server, the event is written to an event queue. The event provides an indication that a request for access is received and a corresponding response with an access token is returned.
