The present application discloses an autonomous vehicle camera cleaning system, comprising: a housing as a support member of the cleaning system; the optical window is arranged at the front part of the shell, is provided with a rotation axis, and is rotationally arranged at the front part of the shell around the rotation axis of the optical window; the camera is arranged in the shell and coincides with the rotation axis of the optical window, and the camera faces a road scene where the optical window and the camera jointly participate in imaging; and the rotary cleaning mechanism is arranged in the shell, is relatively separated from the camera and is used for driving the optical window to rotate at a high speed relative to the camera at the front part of the shell so as to clean the surface of the optical window through a centrifugal effect. The camera and the rotary cleaning mechanism are relatively separated, the structure is simple and reliable, the number of parts is small, the universal sensor cleaning
