BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HYBRID OR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

The invention provides a brake control system for a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle. A vehicle includes an active grille and a controller. The active grille is configured to open to increase resistance to the vehicle and to close to reduce resistance to the vehicle. The controller is programmed to transition or maintain the active grille in a closed position in response to the absence of regenerative braking and friction braking via the motor.
