According to the invention, when a first deviation of the voltage signal (S) from the setpoint value (S0) reaches a predetermined first magnitude ([delta] S1), the voltage signal (S) is continuously measured beyond a determined time interval ([delta] t), and generating a fault message if a second deviation of the voltage signal (S) from the setpoint value (S0) is detected as a function of the voltage curve within the time interval ([delta] t) by a predetermined second magnitude ([delta] S2).
