An imaging control unit in a radiation imaging apparatus performs imaging in a plurality of modes having different setting values, and performs standby driving to reduce signals accumulated in a plurality of pixels during a period in which the plurality of pixels are not irradiated with radiation. The plurality of modes includes a first mode in which first imaging is performed using a first setting value and a second mode in which second imaging is performed using a second setting value different from the first setting value after the first imaging.
