The present disclosure generally relates to efficient data transfer management for partition add-on commands for partition namespaces (ZNSs). The ZNS storage device includes a memory device having a plurality of memory dies, and a controller coupled to the memory device. The controller receives a plurality of partition add-on commands, each partition add-on command associated with a partition identifier identifying a partition of the plurality of partitions; and extracting and aggregating data associated with each partition additional command through the partition identifier in an additional write buffer. The aggregated data is written to the memory device when the aggregated data of each partition reaches a predetermined program chunk size, or the aggregated data is written to a temporary buffer if a predetermined write size is not satisfied.
