Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the technical field of gas control, and discloses a gas extraction method which comprises the following steps: S1, measuring the gas content of an original coal seam; s2, gas extraction is conducted on the original coal seam with the gas content larger than 6 m < 3 >/t through a directional long drill hole, the hole length of the directional long drill hole is not smaller than 300 m, and then a coal roadway driving working face is excavated; and S3, the gas content of the original coal seam is measured again, gas extraction is conducted on the original coal seam with the gas content larger than 6 m < 3 >/t through a directional long drill hole, the hole length of the directional long drill hole is not smaller than 300 m, and then a coal roadway stope face is excavated. According to the hole-replacing-roadway regional gas treatment technology, it is predicted that the gas treatment time can be shortened by about 30%, the regional gas treatment rock roadway engineering amount is reduced
