Zusammenfassung: | The present invention provides a process for determining the type of an unknown type of diamond, the process comprising the steps of: (i) applying a laser input signal to an unknown type of diamond with an NV-center or other C-center in order to generate fluorescence from the diamond; (ii) applying a magnetic field to the diamond and applying a variable microwave frequency to the diamond; (iii) acquiring the light intensity of the fluorescence according to the microwave frequency; and (iv) determining the type of unknown diamond by comparing the light intensity of the fluorescence according to the microwave frequency of (iii) with the microwave frequency characteristics of the light intensity with respect to known diamonds of a plurality of known types of diamonds.
