Zusammenfassung:Systems and methods for detecting and reconstructing objects in a discontinuous stream of items in an imaging system are provided. A controller for detecting an object moving in a first direction in a computed tomography (CT) imaging system is provided. The controller is configured to detect an object by assembling a plurality of segments based on a plurality of CT imaging slices. In response to receiving the stop request, the controller is configured to detect the object by causing the CT imaging system to terminate the flow of the object, discarding one or more of the plurality of CT imaging slices associated with a first section and a second section of the plurality of sections, causing the CT imaging system to move the object in a second direction for an interruption distance, and discarding one or more of the plurality of CT imaging slices associated with the first section and the second section of the plurality of sections.
