An emotion adjustment system for determining an emotion of a user based on a voice of the user includes: a microphone configured to receive the voice of the user; and a controller configured to extract a plurality of sound quality factors in response to processing the speech of the user, calculate a depression index of the user based on at least one of the plurality of sound quality factors, recognize an emotional state of the user as a depression state when the depression index is greater than a preset value, and generate an emotional state of the user when the depression index is greater than the preset value.
