The method comprises the steps of receiving an access request sent by a target user for a first target file; if it is determined that the cache does not include the metadata of the first target file, a set number of second target files are predicted through a neural network prediction model, and the second target files are used for representing files which are obtained through prediction and accessed by the target user next time; metadata of the first target file and metadata of the second target file are obtained and stored in a cache; and obtaining file content of the first target file according to the metadata of the first target file, and sending the file content to the target user. Therefore, the metadata of the second target file which is predicted to be possibly accessed by the target user next is stored in the cache while the access requirement of the target user is met, the cache hit rate can be greatly improved
