The invention relates to a flow regulator for regulating the flow of a fluid, comprising a tube which has a tube axis and through which the fluid can flow in the direction of the tube axis; and at least one hub body which is rotationally symmetrical with respect to the axis of symmetry and which is fastened in the tube such that the axis of symmetry coincides with the tube axis, the hub body fastened in the tube having an inflow region which is convex outwardly against the inflow direction.
