Bendable clip device

A clip device for clipping biological tissue of a patient comprises: a clip having a first arm and a second arm, the first arm and the second arm being closable by operating a wire reciprocally movable in a longitudinal channel of a sheath; and a bendable member at the distal end region of the sheath. The bendable member may be an integral portion of the sheath or a separate structure. The bendable member is configured to allow the distal end of the clip to rotate or oscillate towards a proximal end region of a sheath of the device, even when the clip approaches tangentially to tissue, for example at an angle ([theta]) of less than 90, the bendable member orients the clip relative to the sheath facilitating grasping of the tissue.
