Vehicle sound emission control

The invention provides vehicle sound emission control. A speed of the target vehicle may be detected. A difference between a host vehicle speed and the speed of the target vehicle is determined. A target frequency of sound to be received at the target vehicle is specified. A transmission frequency of the sound is determined based on the target frequency and the difference between the host vehicle speed and the target vehicle speed.
