The invention discloses a method for detecting residual vinyl chloride monomers in medical PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin. The method comprises the following steps: preparing a vinyl chloride standard solution and a vinyl chloride comparison solution; preparing a test solution; setting gas chromatography detection conditions; performing gas chromatography detection by using a vinyl chloride standard solution under set conditions to obtain a standard curve of vinyl chloride; performing gas chromatography detection on a blank solution without vinyl chloride and the comparison solution under set conditions to obtain a qualitative peak of vinyl chloride; and carrying out gas chromatography detection on the test solution under set conditions, calculating the concentration of vinyl chloride by using the standard curve according to the peak area of a vinyl chloride response value, and converting the concentration into the concentration of vinyl chloride in the sample.
