Ordering pairs of biological entities by evidence level

A computer-implemented method of electronically mining medical and scientific data sets to determine an order of evidence levels indicative of an association between two entities is disclosed. The method includes receiving a representation of a pair of entities, performing a first data mining on one or more unstructured data sets to generate one or more first scores, each first score representing a degree of association between entities of the pair of entities, and performing a second data mining on the one or more structured data sets to generate one or more second scores, each second score representing a degree of association between entities of the entity pair.
