The method comprises the steps of obtaining operation index data of each feeder line in a to-be-detected power grid; calculating a correlation coefficient of the operation index data, and generating a correlation coefficient matrix; determining a characteristic value and a characteristic vector of the correlation coefficient matrix; determining the score and contribution rate of each type of principal component corresponding to each feeder line in the to-be-detected power grid according to the feature vector and the feature value; calculating a comprehensive score of each feeder line according to the score and the contribution rate of each type of principal component corresponding to each feeder line; and determining the fault condition of the to-be-detected power grid according to the comprehensive score of each feeder line.
