The invention relates to an ultrasound imaging system and method for generating enhanced images. The invention discloses a method and an ultrasound imaging system. The method and the ultrasound imaging system include emitting first ultrasound energy in a first emission pattern; receiving first ultrasonic data based on the first ultrasonic energy; and generating a first image based on the first ultrasound data. The method and system include entering a shadow reduction mode and performing the following steps in the shadow reduction mode: emitting a second ultrasound energy in a second emission pattern configured to have a greater penetration force than the first emission pattern; receiving second ultrasonic data based on the second ultrasonic energy; generating a mask for identifying the shadow region; and generating an enhanced image including an enhanced shadow region, wherein the second ultrasound data is used to generate the enhanced shadow region; and displaying the enhanced image. 本发明题为"用于生成增强图像的超声成像系统和方法
