Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for recovering valuable metals in waste nickel-metal hydride batteries, which comprises the following steps of: firstly, pretreating the waste nickel-metal hydride batteries to obtain a mixture of positive and negative fragments; then adding the positive and negative fragment mixture, activated carbon and calcium fluoride into a graphite crucible, and uniformly stirring; and finally, the crucible is put into a resistance furnace to be heated and smelted, and the ferro-nickel alloy and slag are obtained respectively. The technological process is simple, the activated carbon serves as a reducing agent, the calcium fluoride serves as a slagging system, the activated carbon and the calcium fluoride are smelted together with the pretreated waste nickel-metal hydride battery, the valuable metal nickel in the waste nickel-metal hydride battery finally forms the ferro-nickel alloy, and rare earth elements are transferred into the slag and can be further recycled.
