Low reflectance, anti-reflective film structures with controlled color and articles having same

Described herein is an article comprising: a translucent substrate (110) having a major surface; and an anti-reflective coating disposed on the main surface and forming an anti-reflective surface. The article exhibits a single-sided average photopic light reflectance of less than 0.35% at the anti-reflective surface. Further, the article exhibits a one-sided color shift ([Delta] C) of less than 6 at the anti-reflective surface over an angle of incidence range from 0 degree to 60 degrees of incidence, where the anti-reflective coating includes a physical thickness from about 50 nm to less than 500 nm. Furthermore, the anti-reflective coating further comprises a plurality of layers, the plurality of layers comprising at least one low refractive index layer (130a) and at least one high refractive index layer (130b).
