A refrigeration device is provided with: a high-temperature-side refrigerant circuit in which a high-temperature-side refrigerant circulates; a low-temperature-side refrigerant circuit in which a low-temperature-side refrigerant circulates; and a stepped heat exchanger that cools the low-temperature-side refrigerant by means of the high-temperature-side refrigerant, in the low-temperature-side refrigerant circuit, a low-temperature-side pressure reducer is disposed on the downstream side of the stepped heat exchanger, and a temperature sensor is provided in a piping section between the stepped heat exchanger and the low-temperature-side pressure reducer. 冷冻装置具备：高温侧制冷剂进行循环的高温侧制冷剂回路；低温侧制冷剂进行循环的低温侧制冷剂回路；以及利用所述高温侧制冷剂将所述低温侧制冷剂冷却的阶式换热器，在所述低温侧制冷剂回路中，在所述阶式换热器的下游侧配置有低温侧减压器，并且在所述阶式换热器与所述低温侧减压器之间的配管部设置有温度传感器。
