Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a gear shifting system and method of an electric motorcycle, the gear shifting system of the electric motorcycle comprises a throttle valve position sensor (TPS), a motor controller and a whole vehicle controller, the throttle valve position sensor senses an accelerator opening degree to generate an accelerator opening degree signal, and the motor controller is connected with the whole vehicle controller. The motor controller receives a motor rotating speed signal representing a motor actual rotating speed of the motor, and the vehicle control unit receives the accelerator opening degree signal and the motor rotating speed signal and calculates an average accelerator change rate according to the accelerator opening degree signal. When the electric motorcycle is in the second gear and the average accelerator change rate meets a preset threshold value in an acceleration correction condition, the vehicle control unit outputs a gear shifting instruction to control the electric motorcycle
