The process comprises the following steps: preparing raw materials according to alloy components and contents, smelting, carrying out solution treatment, and carrying out cold rolling composite annealing treatment. The rare earth magnesium lithium alloy cold rolling technology can be used for preparing a rare earth magnesium lithium alloy plate with the thickness of 0.6 mm. The prepared Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Li alloy plate has excellent mechanical properties, the yield strength of the Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Li alloy plate breaks through 190 MPa, and the ductility of the Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Li alloy plate breaks through 22%.
