Zusammenfassung: | The present invention provides a polyaspartic acid composition comprising the reaction product of a polyamine and a Michael addition acceptor reacted in the presence of a catalyst comprising a phenolic compound, with the proviso that the phenolic compound is not a phenol substituted in both ortho-positions of oxygen with a tert-butyl group. Suitable phenolic compounds include phenols, phenolic aldehyde, alkylphenols, benzenediol, cashew nut oil, and combinations thereof. Coatings, adhesives, sealants, composites, casting compounds, and films comprising the polyurea compositions can be prepared by reacting polyisocyanates with the polyaspartic acid compositions of the invention. In particular, compared with existing floor coatings, the floor coating prepared with the polyaspartic acid composition of the present invention has a prolonged operating time and a short open walking time.
