A biaxially oriented polyarylene sulfide film having a polyarylene sulfide (PAS)-based resin as a main constituent component, the biaxially oriented polyarylene sulfide film being characterized in that the melting start temperature (Tms) and the melting point (Tm), which are measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) during the first operation under the conditions of a temperature rise rate of 20 DEG C/min and a sample amount of 5 mg, satisfy formula (1). (1) 20 DEG C < = Tm-Tms < = 100 DEG C.
